Getting to know Team 91 Charlotte/Team 91 South Midfielder Quinn Frood
College Commitment: Dartmouth College
High School: Cannon School
Position: Faceoff Midfield
Graduating Class: 2026
What other schools did you consider? Additional Ivy League as well as Patriot League programs.
How did the school you chose separate itself from the others you considered?
I really gravitated towards Dartmouth's unique academic setting, the energetic and committed coaching staff, and the opportunity to be part of a program on the rise.
How would you describe your recruiting process overall?
I was fortunate that my recruiting process was only a few weeks long. It was stressful, yet exciting at the same time. I immediately felt a connection with Coach Kirwan and his entire staff and appreciated their transparency throughout the process.
What was your favorite part of the recruiting process?
Before September, I hadn't had the opportunity to visit any schools. So, I really enjoyed seeing the different campuses, learning about the different programs, and meeting the varied coaches and players.
What opportunities and information assisted you during your recruiting process?
During the recruiting process, I was diligent in asking the each program’s coaching staff many questions. I was also doing research before and following my visits to further understand each program and the schools themselves. It was important that I found a school that met my needs academically, athletically, and socially.

Did you feel like you had support from the Team 91 staff during your process? If so, how?
I absolutely felt Team 91, specifically Coach Flanagan, was supportive and well connected in my process. Coach served as a guide and was invested in the entire process and its end result. I met with Coach Flanagan frequently before and after September 1st and his assistance was invaluable. I feel extremely fortunate of the advocacy and support I received.
What individual or showcase events, if any, did you find the most beneficial during your process?
I feel that Team 91 CLT and Team 91 South well positioned me to compete against the best players and teams in the country and to be seen by all the college coaches. I relied more on my club team events than I did any individual showcases as a whole.
What would you tell younger players or parents to help them prepare for the recruiting process?
The recruiting process is not one day nor one event. It is the culmination of many practices, games, and opportunities to showcase your ability to play at the next level. If there's a day that doesn't work out, it's not the end of the world. There will be plenty of other opportunities to impress!
